Rehearsals

We rehearse at the Richmond Senior Citizens' Centre, 3 Hosie St, Richmond on Tuesday nights 7-8.30pm during the school term.

What instruments do we need?

We play brass band in the traditional British style, so we have cornets, tenor horns, baritones, trombones, euphoniums, tubas and percussion. If you play trumpet or french horn, we would be very happy to meet you too!

What level do you need to be?

To start you should have been playing your instrument for at least a year, and be able to play one octave. If you are unsure, you would be very welcome to come along and check it out.

What if I don't own an instrument?

If you have learned to play an instrument, but don't own one, we have some instruments that are available for use.

What does it cost to be involved?

It costs $15 per week to be involved, billed once per school term. We have some support available, so if money is a concern, talk to us! We want this opportunity to be accessible to everybody, and we will do what we can to help you.
